Gold-buying websites may look one and the same based on their layout but a closer look at the companies running them from behind closed doors could easily show the disparity between scam sites and those truly committed to providing fair and quality service to its customers.
Better Business Bureau has given GoldPaq.com a C rating, which is quite low considering how many other gold-buying websites are able to garner a minimum grade of B.
Goldpaq.com is registered under Wellington Companies, LLC, which was established in January 2007 and located at Southampton, Pennsylvania. It lists only two personnel available for contact: General Manager Aaron Rovner and Company President Len Gelman.
BBB’s profile on GoldPaq.com began in August 2007 and had since received a whopping number of 49 complaints regarding the website. In the past 12 months, it had successfully resolved ten cases. Majority of complaints revolved around warranty issues, customer service concerns and refund practices. Service and advertising had also been a sore point for many customers.
Ripoff Alert
In spite of all data gathered from BBB, GoldPaq.com nevertheless does not appear to be as blatantly fraudulent as many scam gold-buying sites polluting the Internet. But one customer printing a complaint via RipOffReport.com begs to differ.
The individual provided a comprehensive account of her transaction with GoldPaq.com, which had begun in March 2008. Her account included phone conversations with the key personnel listed in the website’s BBB page that had not achieved anything.
Ultimately, there’s still a chance GoldPaq.com is worth people’s trust but before that, it has some explaining to do, don’t you think?
