Getting the quoted price on your gold?
If you’ve had your gold assessed with a competitor at a higher value than Andres Fine Jewelers quoted, they will even beat that offer. Although they do advertise their gold buying prices, they don’t give a guarantee on their quotesws. Given that gold prices change as often as the clock ticks, there’s a good chance that what Andres Fine Jewelers will offer you on a Monday won’t be the same price they will pay you on a Thursday, simply because they base their buying price on the prevailing gold prices on the day you sell your gold. Great if prices are higher than quoted but bummer if prices plunge on the very day you decide to sell.
They do give you something extra for selling your gold to them, courtesy of a coupon for gas worth $10. ‘For making the drive’, according to them but you do need to sell at least $100. Let’s just hope that the money you spend on gas making that appointment doesn’t cost you more than $10.
Sell gold, buy gold
Andres Fine Jewelers also sell gold jewelry called ‘blocks of love’, essentially rectangular blocks of gold with engraved names set with a small birthstone. Knowing that this company buys gold AND makes gold jewelry at the same time, you’ll probably have a good idea where the materials from their jewelry lines come from. Be wary about buying jewelry from them, though – you just might be buying back the gold you sold.
Fine jewelry store?
Andres Fine Jewelers is supposed to be a fine jewelry seller but the website needs a bit of polishing, forgive the pun. On the home page, a basic web page can be viewed – navigation links on the left and the usual blurb in the middle of the page. However, for a maker of fine jewelry, the home page looks slightly tacky and amateurish – to represent their company, a photo of a red toy truck appears overflowing with gold chains, rings and jewelry with one side emblazoned with the company’s name. For a company claiming to be involved in fine jewelry, Andres has a bit of catching up to do.
